Story

Truly, there are no winners in war. Among the losers are all participants who gave their lives in the name of the personal ambitions of villains and provocateurs, regardless of country and religion.

Each fallen soldier who believed in his good intentions to protect his fatherland and future generations of his people (which, unfortunately, was far from always true), left behind oceans of sorrow for his loved ones – mothers, sisters, lovers. Many of them did not even deserve their own grave, taking with them the tears of their mothers, including Georgian mothers, who have always been responsive to the grief of the mothers of the opposing side.

As is often the case, real-life dramas lead to such fundamental conclusions. This is true in my case as well. My uncle, who fought in the Red Army on the battlefields of World War II, was wounded in a battle near the city of Nikolaev, on the Ukrainian front. Lying on the shore, seriously wounded and helpless, he was doomed to death. Suddenly, a German officer came to his aid. Seeing a helplessly lying, but still alive person, the officer could not remain indifferent. Rushing to his aid, he treated his wounds and bandaged them, right in the middle of the battle, and actually saved my uncle’s life. But, unfortunately, kindness often turns out to be punishable – helping my uncle, a German officer himself caught a stray bullet. Having fallen and realizing that he was dying, he removed the amulet from his neck and gave it to my uncle with the words: “This is a gift from my mother. Take it and give it to your mother, on behalf of all mothers in Germany. My mother blessed this amulet, letting me go to war. It contains the tears of all the mothers who saw off their sons.”

The greatest shock and surprise of my uncle was caused by the words of a German officer that the mothers of Germany experienced and suffered not so much from the realization of the possible death of their sons, but from the thought that their son could take the child of another mother!!!

The German officer soon died of his wounds, and my uncle was evacuated by his colleagues, first to his unit, then to a military hospital in Baku. There, in the ward, he found his fellow countryman on the next bed, to whom he betrayed the amulet and a letter from his mother. The countryman returned to his native village and gave the letter and the amulet to my grandmother, and my uncle, after recovery, returned to the front, where he fell in battle on March 23, 1944 and was buried in a mass grave near Nikolaev.

The greatest shock and surprise of my uncle was caused by the words of a German officer that the mothers of Germany experienced and suffered not so much from the realization of the possible death of their sons, but from the thought that their son could take the child of another mother!!!

After her death, my grandmother bequeathed this amulet to me. I carefully preserved this legacy for many years, and when I grew up, under the impression of the inner world of German mothers, I decided to devote my life to maintaining and protecting world peace. Nowadays, the time of extreme geopolitical tension and turbulence, the paramount importance, globality and political expediency of this mission not only for Georgia, but for the entire civilized world, is beyond doubt.

Before taking on such a responsible mission, I visited many countries that participated in the Second World War. I met with a large number of intellectuals, veterans, students, professors and lecturers, artists and politicians, and finally convinced of the correctness of the chosen life path, in 2014 I founded the international organization “Mother’s Tears”, the main goal of which is to build a “House of Peace”, each brick of which will serve as an eternal memory of all soldiers who died in all armed conflicts, starting from World War II, regardless of which side they fought on.
Our foundation insists on the point of view that the soldiers who carried out the orders of the command do not bear the minimum responsibility for any military action! Moreover, soldiers are heroes for their countries, for they serve them at the cost of their own lives. Responsibility for wars lies with those political regimes that act as the initiators of certain wars. Here we are talking about Germans, Russians, Ukrainians, Japanese, Italians, Abkhazians, Ossetians and representatives of other nations.

Here I would like to mention more than 300 German soldiers buried in a glacier on one of the slopes of the Greater Caucasus Range. They were accidentally discovered by local hunters, who immediately turned to us to arrange arrangements for their reburial, subsequent identification of their remains and contact with their families.

I would also like to tell in a nutshell about our main project – the construction of a large memorial complex in the suburbs of Tbilisi – the “Heroes’ Abode” park, in which each planted tree will be dedicated to a specific soldier who fell in any of the military conflicts, starting from the Second World War. The construction of this complex is of great spiritual and ecological significance, and we call on all progressive humanity to participate in this project!

Dear friends!

We have to be contemporaries of extremely dramatic, perhaps the most dramatic events in the history of the Earth. The world is on the verge of a catastrophe, both civilizational and environmental. There is not a single region of the world left that would not be affected by the current cataclysms – wars, the threat of the use of nuclear weapons, epidemics, natural disasters. Right now, more than ever, global civilization needs examples of humanism and the unity of the bright, progressive forces of all humanity.

It is for this purpose that the Mother’s Tears charitable foundation is implementing a project to build a network of memorials “Abode of Heroes” both throughout Georgia and in the future throughout the world. The duty of every democratic country is to support and fully facilitate the implementation of this project, designed to become the banner of world peace, global political and environmental security.

We invite you, friends, to become part of the ‘Abode of Heroes’ project! It is impossible to stand aside at this moment in history, because the fate of future generations is at stake!
